Terms of Service

Accounts are issued to individual municipal staff through a municipal administrator or an approved single sign-on domain. Accounts may not be shared. Administrators are responsible for granting, changing and revoking access promptly, including on separation of employment.

Your municipality retains ownership of every document and record it uploads. You confirm you have the authority to upload the material and to make any resource marked public available to the public.

MuniEDGE answers are generated from your approved sources and are provided with citations so they can be verified. Answers are not legal, financial, engineering or personnel advice. For legal interpretation, land use determinations, personnel matters, procurement disputes and similar high-risk topics, the service flags the topic and you must obtain review from the appropriate professional before acting.

Official adopted text always controls. Where an answer and a source document differ, the source document governs.

• Do not upload material you are not authorized to store or disclose.
• Do not attempt to reach another municipality's data, bypass access controls, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without written authorization.
• Do not use the public portal to harass, spam or overload the service.
• Do not use the service to make automated decisions about individuals.

We aim for continuous availability and publish planned maintenance to municipal administrators in advance. Support terms, service levels and fees are set in your municipality's subscription agreement, which controls if it conflicts with these terms.

We may suspend an account or workspace to stop active abuse, a security incident or non-payment. On termination, your municipality may export its records during the notice period, after which data is purged according to the retention settings in effect.

Except as stated in your subscription agreement, the service is provided without warranties of any kind, and liability is limited to the amounts paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
